In 2017, I was the Digital Marketing Chair for TEDxFSU, an independently organized TED conference at Florida State University. One of my main responsibilities was to develop a visual brand for the event, a brand that had to reflect the speakers' theme of the "gray area".
In early development, I created simple mock-ups that I brought to staff meetings to be discussed and voted on. A few examples:
Next, I took my team's thoughts and polished those mock-ups to create final visuals that became the templates for our social media graphics, animations, stickers, event posters, and graphics for the big screen behind the speakers. These also informed the look of our website, which I also built. Here's a few examples:
